Services

With the reentry population we do transition services. Transitioning to the community includes assisting the reentering citizens to grow up, grow beyond to grow better. This will allow the individual to gain confidence to achieve a level of sustainability and thereby reduce recidivism. Some people and their family members need some assistance to interact with each other after years of incarceration. Trying to understand what prison does to a person’s mind requires a liaison for a better family reunification. Having your rights taken, being isolated from loved ones, inability to have human contact, PTSD, insomnia, dependence on a system and other conditions or situations can change a person. We can provide groups to assist with deinstitutionalization of the reentering citizen to reduce recidivism. We work together to educate individuals through our groups we facilitate. A few of our groups are Physical Wellness, Life skills, Social skills and Family Ties. We also do sober living support. Emunah True’s desire is to assist people for improvement of their quality of life.

Mission, Approach & Values

Mission Statement

To improve a person’s quality of life through counseling, guidance, structure, support and care by creating a positive mental, emotional and spiritual environment for a healthier lifestyle.

Approach & Values

In order for me to assist with this goal in a person’s life I get to know them on a personal level and create a professional, and caring bond. I let the person be themselves without harsh reprimand that play into their negative self-image and self-worth. I can bring a positive environment with safety, boundaries and love. Being around people with special needs and people with varying levels of skills and education, the youth will be able to learn on the level they are at now. This skill fits into the program due to the varying levels of trauma and/or addiction they have become a part of, encountered or lived through.
